In February 2016 Waterway Constructions was awarded and has recently completed the contract for the extension of the Cascade Pier on the remote Norfolk Island, construction works commenced in July 2016 and were recently completed in March 2018. Throughout this period Teresa Cook of Norfolk Forwarding Services (ABN 72 099 183 865) provided advice and services to our company in relation to importation of materials and equipment as well as more recently assistance with the demobilisation of equipment from the Island back to the mainland of Australia.

NFS was responsible for all aspects of material and equipment movements and organised all our needs including the packaging, transport and freight forwarding logistics in relation to importation, together with the on-island receival, storage and transportation to the worksite. Equipment ranged from small hand tools up to a 25t crane which had to be stripped down fully and reassembled on island.

In summary we found Norfolk Forwarding Services extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient in what they do which took all the stress and difficulties off our team with regards to material and equipment movements, we would have no hesitation in using them to provide our import/export requirements in the future.
